My students are highly motivated youngsters who are eager to learn lots of new information! My school is a Title 1 school as most of my students come from poor economic backgrounds. We do not ask the parents for money when purchasing items or arranging trips for the students. As a first grade teacher, my students are energetic, happy, and yes-very lively!! The amount of English Language Learners in my room exceeds over 90% of the students. Learning the English language is a difficult task for them and I find that having a clear and organized set of routines helps them get used to the rules and expectations of my classroom.
