Our new charter school is adding a new kindergarten class and Math and reading manipulatives are crucial for learning. It engages the brain and makes learning fun. Magnetic letter and numbers, stamps, and pattern blocks are just a few things that kindergarteners use on a daily basis in learning stations. Kindergartners have many different learning styles. They need a variety of manipulatives in all subjects to explore and learn. Being able to get up and move around,and use their hands and feet to learn will will help with those jittery kiddos who need to be up and moving. Pencil and paper are fine but these different learning tools will make learning fun and engaging.
