The tablets provided will allow me to explore more differentiation, not only in my teaching but in student activities as well. I use educational websites to help my students explore new topics/skills and to continue practicing already taught skills. The tablets will be used for the students to explore answers to questions that may arise (eg. What is a squid?), educational websites, educational videos and activities.
The tables will help engage students on a variety of levels, helping those still learning to write to those with educational and developmental needs. Our curriculum and student workbooks can be accessed online and I would use the tablets for students with particular criteria to use the tablet for the lesson instead of their workbooks. This will also allow for more true assessments of students understanding of the curriculum.
