• Second Graders Need Printer and Supplies

  Thank you so much for supplying my second graders with the much needed printer so that we can print materials and activities to learn with throughout the school year. They were so excited to receive these supplies for learning as well. The printer is an important and popular item in my classroom as my students like to print out things from the printer and using materials to learn with through centers. Ink is always needed.   I would like to Thank you so much for your considerate donation. You have provided great opportunities for my students learning process. They will benefit tremendously academically from the items in this project. I can continue building a foundation of finding joy in learning in my classroom.

  You have made our learning process so much easier. These supplies motivate my students to write so much more. They love using their two sided mini-writing boards and lapboard erasers to practice writing their alphabet, vocabulary words and math computations. The writing prompt and Language practice journals are awesome because they give my students opportunities to write complete sentences and understand the importance of reading and writing. The Learn to print practice book is a great tool as well for my students because many of my students struggle with scribing and this is a stepping tool.

• Steaming through Our Galaxy of Learning

  Many of the children in my classroom do not have technology devices in their homes that allow access for learning activities and reading. My students are able to use the galaxy tablets in the classroom to assist them in learning through visual presentation and interactive activities.

  My students enjoy sitting and listening to stories and playing literacy games during literacy center time. The galaxy tablets makes reading and learning fun in our classroom and these abilities are very important for student engagement.

  I have a particular student who struggled with identifying letters and letter sounds. It was very hard for her to blend sounds together to figure out words. The galaxy tablets have afforded her the opportunity to be excited about learning and completing phonics activities with enthusiasm.”

• Supplies Needed for ICT 1st Grade

  Thank you so much for your thoughtful donation to our classroom. My students really enjoy using the materials you donated. We color beautiful bright pictures everyday during learning activities. We are able to sharpen our pencils which enable our class to use their fine motor skills daily. We are able to work in small groups using the magnetic white writing board as our focus board during learning activities. We are also able to utilize the scissors for our cut/pasting activities. Our K-1 Class here at P.S. 251 really appreciate all that you have done for us.”
