  • Feeding My Students Books to Feed Their Passion for Soccer!

    Funded Nov 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation. When I told my students they literally jumped out of their seats with excitement. It is so meaningful when students get confirmation that our community is supporting them. These books will be used every day. Once again, thank you for helping our students thrive!”

  • Fifth Graders Love Carpet Time, too!

    Funded Nov 3, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom. I have been a teacher for 11 years, all of which have been in fourth and fifth grade. It has been the norm that students in kindergarten through second grade have carpets in the room and upper grades do not. I can tell you that fifth graders love carpet time too!

My students absolutely love our new carpet! Before our carpet we were sitting on the ground that has a floor that is not very clean. Besides having our math lessons, read alouds, partner work and more on the carpet, students also use it to study our states and capitals as that is a fifth grade standard.

Once again, thank you so very much. The impact you make on students with these types of donations is truly inspirational!”

  • Reading, Writing and Connecting to Each Other with Picture Books!

    Funded Oct 11, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation. It is truly inspiring to our students when they know the community cares enough about them to donate their hard earn money to our classroom. We have been reading picture books as a class now for weeks. These books share valuable lessons and help our students learn and grow as individuals. We have been connecting these books to our social emotional learning themes. We have also been using them to connect to our language arts standards such as writing, author's purpose, author's message, theme, etc.”

  • Sometimes a Smelly Pen or Squishy is All It Takes!

    Funded Mar 16, 2022

These supplies have really made a difference in our classroom. While they do help students improve in reaching their goals, more importantly they help students feel valued. When students know that the community cares about them and is willing to spend their own money on them it gives them more confidence.

We are using these supplies from our prize box in which students can earn a choice when their raffle ticket is picked. Students ear raffle tickets when they are kind, share valuable insights, help others, are on task, etc. They also receive these supplies when they reach their academic goals.

    Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

  • Premium Basics!

    Funded Nov 23, 2022

When people from our community like you donate to our classroom you instill confidence in our youth. They feel valued and appreciated. These supplies will have an immediate impact in our room. I can't wait to start our holiday crafts in the next couple weeks. Thank you for your support!”

  • Endless Colors to Choose From!

    Funded Feb 7, 2022

Thank you for your generous donation. It is so motivating to know that our community cares about our students. This has truly made an impact in my classroom this year. Students finally had a chance to come back to school for a full year. I have loved seeing how creative my bunch is this year.

Students were so excited that they were going to receive this markers with so many color options. We have had a few art competitions in our district this year and my students have been all over it. The erasable pens have also been a big hit. I hope to be able to incorporate these next year as well.

    Thank you again!”

  • Using Every Crayon to the Last Nub!

    Funded Feb 2, 2022

Thank you for your generous donation to my project. My class was extremely grateful to get these supplies. Students have been able to keep track of their colored pencils, markers and crayons. We usually run out of specific colors, especially black, but not anymore! It is the end of May and students have all the options they need because of these boxes.

When students know that the community chooses to invest in their school experience without even knowing them, it truly brings up their self esteem and boosts their desire to succeed.

    You are appreciated!”

  • Feed the Soul With a Needle and Thread!

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

I cannot tell you how amazing this project has turned out in my class. Students have learned so much about embroidery. They are practicing different stitches including the backstitch, running stitch and chain stitch.

At first, students were having difficulty with threading their needles and tying knots. Now, they are becoming experts. We do embroidery about twice a week and they get so excited for those days. They are now taking their embroidery home to finish their pieces. Students are coming to school showing new stitches and tricks that they have learned from their grandmothers. It has really become a great activity,

Students are working on embroidering a banner for mother's day. I also just ordered canvas backpacks that they can embroider and take them home as a memory as they transitioning to middle school next year. THANK YOU for your truly impactful donations to this project! I hope to do this again next year!”

  • Zooming, Kicking, Throwing, Catching, Spiking Fifth Graders!

    Funded Aug 13, 2021

Wow! You would not believe all of the fun we are having with the items you helped donate to our classroom. Physical Education in the past has been a time of fitness without team sports. This year I have been able to teach my students many different sports. We learn about the rules and overall ideas in class, then go out and play the sport. So far, we have learned and played soccer, kickball and basketball. We have also had a lot of fun with our jump ropes. After learning just a few rhyming songs for jump ropes, students took it upon themselves to look for new jump rope songs. They are playing with jump ropes at recess and teaching other classes as well. Thank you for impacting our community in a positive way!”

  • Bringing 'the Cloud" to Life

    Funded Aug 2, 2021

I would like to thank you for your generosity. You have made such an impact in my classroom. I am truly grateful for people like you in our community who help support our youth.

I had a discussion with my class about donors giving contributions to our classroom without even knowing us. They are also so grateful and inspired by your generosity. It gives them such confidence to know that our community believes in them.

My students have been able to print their stories, research projects and much more thanks to you!”

    Mrs. Muller

The supplies I am requesting will make a world of a difference in my classroom! I am requesting 5 stationary bike pedal sets for students to use under their desk. My students are fifth graders, either nine or ten years old. I mention their age, because as educators we often forget that our students are so young. Children are full of energy and need an outlet for this. I know that I am a grown adult and like to be active. When I attend a training where I have to sit all day, it is rather hard for me. So imagine our students! I am a teacher who believes in active learning, allowing my students to get up, work in groups, move around, and use manipulatives whenever possible. Though this is true, in fifth grade students do need to work independently at their seats, especially in writing. This is when my students who are high energy struggle. There are about five students in my class who have very high energy levels. Their energy ends up becoming a distraction, such as tapping their pencils, leaning back/balancing in their chairs, tapping their feet, kicking students underneath desks, getting up to walk around, etc. These behaviors are distracting to the whole class. I know that these students can't help it, this is why I want to learn how to channel their energy. Pedals underneath their desk will allow them to focus their energy, release it, and focus on the task at hand. I especially like how this will not make noise or cause distractions to others. It also is discrete and will not bring attention to the students using them.
