• Mo Literacy Materials to Help Us Grow

  The students enjoyed all the new and wonderful learning activities that were donated to our classroom. We were so delighted to open them and imagine what we could do with them and how they will help us learn more literacy for Kindergarten.

  The younger students in the class also enjoyed the wonderful birthday cake and have been singing everyone happy birthday, having parties and cutting the cake to give to everyone.

  It so wonderful to have such amazing donors to help this community of children learn and grow with such amazing materials. Thank you so much.”

  I want to first off thank all the donors to this project. It helps put cameras in my classroom and technology in the hands of the kids in this class.

  We used our cameras to take many pictures of our friends doing different activities and sometimes just being silly. These brought many skills to the classroom that the students did not have before. Alot of kids are not allowed to touch or use their families' cameras in case they would drop it or break it. Here at school, they can use and explore with them without the worry of breaking it.

  The cameras have been a great asset to our classroom and i hope to be able to use them for years to come.”

• Birds, Bee and Butterflies..Oh My!

  Funded Aug 17, 2021

  This project had a lasting effect on my students and how they value nature. We were able to get Roly Poly bugs and ladybugs for the students to watch and observe. As the weather gets nicer we will get the butterflies, worms and ants. Right now the kids are really into coming every morning and watching them morph into something else or trying to find the ones that are hiding. It was a really cool project and i hope to do more like this in the future. Kids love seeing nature up close and learning about the things that they "see" everyday but also learning about them. Thank you so much to the donors for supporting this project.”

• Cool Kids

  Funded Nov 15, 2021

  This project has been a true blessing in our classroom. Here in western Pa the late summers can get really hot. Without AC or a ceiling fan in our rooms its really hard to keep the kids engaged in an activity when the heat is just unbearable in the room.

  Having the portable AC unit really helps alleviate the problem with the heat and the kids a much better time concentrating and staying on task. At the end of the year when we are getting close to summer it sometimes gets hot also. Since our rooms have very little way of circulation it is nice to have the option of an AC unit.

• A Camping We Will Go!

  This project has made a huge impact on my students. They love playing in the tent and pretending that they are going camping. We added some stuffed animals to our camping project also which really made everything come to life. They love sitting on the chairs and roasting marshmallows over the make believe fire. It is so cool to watch these "city kids" love the outdoors in the classroom. I think that we and them will be talking about this project for many years to come. We are so thankful to our donors for giving us these lovely things for our classroom.”

• Let's Learn Outside

  All of the items in this project have been such a huge improvement and help during the pandemic. The kids and I have used all of the materials multiple times and we love them! We can learn outside and not have to worry about masks. The kids can be free to be kids but still learn and be safe. I love the yoga mats they have been a huge help to our daily routine and just being able to separate the kids in a way that is fun but also safe. The tables have been used for doing art outside. The sand and water table is place they can still play but not have to worry about too many at one time. Thank you so much for your kind donations to this project and know that the kids thank you also.”

• Be Creative, Make Art

  This project made a huge impact on my kids. They are loving the different things to do in art. We have so many fun and exciting things to do now that they back to school in the hybrid model. They loved the foam sensory paint. They were able to play with it in their own little container so it wouldn't get contaminated and use their own toys it was wonderful. During this time of Covid it was really important to me and my co-teacher to make this time that they spent with us a fun and learning time. Art is so therapeutic for all of us, THANK YOU!”

• Gardening in Pre-K

  Funded Nov 24, 2020

  The students first reaction when they saw the materials was complete joy. They loved the flowers and pots and how real they all look. They were ready to play and use their imaginations as soon as they saw them.

  To make this project even more special i plan on making a flower shop out of our housekeeping area and letting the kids sell and buy flowers from each other. I can't wait to see what the students will use their imaginations to bring all of these materials to life. Alot of the students have not seen the materials yet but i'm sure when they do the wheels will start to turn and they will come up with some amazing ways to use the materials that i never thought of.

• Cutting Away in Pre-K!

  Funded Apr 9, 2019

  This cricut machine made a huge impact on our classroom. I was able to make and design a sensory pathway for our school hallway. It also was essential when it comes to cutting and making a lot of the same materials for a project.

  I love the cricut and the way it helps my kids and my classroom. I think that it should be a staple in every preschool classroom. The amount of time that it saves on cutting out each individual piece of paper is very helpful and time is put into making more activities instead of worrying about how long it is going to take to cut each thing out.
