Being distracted by modern technology like phones and computers, I need to get my students to read more and the book Silver Linings Playbook goes into the psychological issues much deeper than the movie did. Students like the movie stars Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence because they can relate to them and they both did a great job in the movie of playing flawed characters that have mental issues. Students will learn more by reading this book, as they are already interested in the movie so reading this particular book gets them reading instead of constantly staring at their phones.

About my class
