These materials will allow my students to use their senses to learn more about the coding I teach. The hands on games would help them understand what coding is about. Most of my students learn best through hands on anyway. Each of the games/toys that was selected teaches my students how to code, teaches logic and problem solving skills. Go Robot Mouse set introduces young children to science, technology, engineering and math. They also teaches them to think critically, solve problems effectively. Think and Learn Code-a-pillar help students learn letter identification, categorization, object and properties. Suspend Family develops hand-eye coordination, cognitive skills, and interpersonal skills. Gravity Maze builds spacial reasoning and planning skills. Creative Color Cubes visualize, think critically, and problem solve. This also helps to develop visualization and improve understanding of math concepts. Dive into shapes and build geometry helps the students gain hands-on experience composite shapes, identifying shape attributes and partitioning circles and squares into equal parts. This is the first year having coding school wide, having the hands on games and materials will allow my students to have a understanding of how the computer software will work. The coding toys will allow my students to fail by sailing through their mistakes. The toys will allow them to break down and start again. Students will enjoy coding and learn how to be great thinkers and computer programmer in the future. This is the way to the future in our 21st century.
