  • SHIELD US! for learning fun and safety

    Thank you for supporting my students and myself with the materials for the project "SHIELD US". The safety shields we received are extremely important and useful to the children's learning. Thanks to the shields, students are able to see the learning materials clearly, while keeping each other safe. In addition, the animal-themed alphabet has been a wonderful asset, one I review with the students daily. I also received animal science- cards that have become a focal point in our jungle-themed classroom! During science and reading, I refer to the cards so that the children can expand their vocabulary and learn about amazing and diverse nature. Thank you again for these and all the materials! My entire Pre-K class and I give THANKS!!!”

  • Technological Teaching Tools!

    The items I received have been a wonderful asset to my class! The microphone has been such a fun and useful teaching tool! We have had letter sing-a-longs, as well as TV game-show like letter and number games as well. One of the best things about the mic is how several of my introverted students were motivated to answer questions and express ideas simply because they wanted to use the new microphone. It was so wonderful to watch! In addition, we have hosted singing competitions, plays and simple poems while using our useful and enjoyable mic!

    In addition to our mic, the laminating machine has been very helpful and practical. As shown in the photos I have uploaded, I was able to laminate large letter cards, making them durable and continuously usable for the children. This will be used for years to come! For our upcoming "Animal Care and Awareness month" I have been preparing by laminating beautifully illustrated animal photos both of magazines as well as student- made in order for them to be long-lasting and to be displayed on a bulletin board. Students also write on them labeling parts of the body using a dry erase pen that other wise they would not have been able to do.

    I truly appreciate your generosity and having taken the time and effort to make a few of my classroom dreams come true. More importantly, the children appreciate it tremendously. Every time I put the "technological teaching tools'" to use, I remember how fortunate us teachers and students are to have the wonderful resource of Donors Choose.”
