Having the carpet will help the students with sitting appropriately on the floor so that they are ready to learn. I need them to sit in one spot as I am teaching that is big enough for them to use their white boards for guided practice. I have students that need the visual of where they are going to sit because if not they try to sit wherever they want and tend not to focus. I believe that it will be easier for them to transition into whole group and then back to blended learning. I know my students would be happy to have something like this in the classroom.
