Making Algebra Colorful and Lively
Funded Feb 22, 2023I like making math colorful. I do this by teaching students how to highlight the text. Students light up when I give them their own highlighter. I give them colored paper to make foldables or just be creative. Suppling them with post it notes to label their notes or make tabs for stuff they later will make into study guides. These are the things that help them to study for their Regents exam. Algebra is the first math Regents exam they take. They need this test in order to graduate high school. I like to give them as many supplies as possible to make study guides and Students often come to class without a pencil and pen. I am now able to give students the tools they need to work in my math class.
Thank you for your generosity. You have made a difference in a young person's life.”

Helping Students Reach their Greatest Potential
Funded Jan 24, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donations. The laptop has been a wonderful addition to our classroom. Students have been able to complete their assignments during class or at tutoring sessions. Some students lack computers or tablets at home. All they have is their phone. The Deltamath program we use for homework is hard to complete on a phone sometimes. By having the computer in the room students can complete the homework during class or in tutoring after school or during their lunch.
It is because of donors like you that we are able to provide students with the technology they need to achieve their goals. Thank you again for making this happen for my students.”

Funded Feb 7, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donations. The laptop has been a wonderful addition to our classroom. Students have been able to complete their assignments during class or at tutoring sessions. The Deltamath program comes with videos and help suggestions to get students to understand the math. Some students lack the WIFI at home and having a computer in the classroom readily available has been great. Students know the computer is available to them in class and during tutoring hours.

Color Brings Math Alive
Funded Dec 1, 2021Thank you so much for your wonderful donation. Students used the materials you provided to create math poems or stories using 12 math vocabulary words. They were so excited to be able to color their projects and use color paper.
I will be showing students how to create study sheets using the post it notes. They have a state test in June. I will also show them how to create foldables as a study guide. The use of the paper, highlighters and markers will be very useful.
They signed a thank you card for you. I will be including it in the pictures of their work.
Thank you again for supporting my project.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Klepacki
