'If you are going to get anywhere in life you have to read a lot of books.” – Roald Dahl By building up our classroom library with a plethora of books, my students will have direct and easy access to books. Everyday for reading workshop, we get cozy and engage in focused, engaged reading in a book of their choice. With a well-stocked classroom library, I can help ensure my students will have plenty to read each day. This project would not only give my students more materials to help keep them engaged each day, it will also help give them more choice and variety. Their interests are very broad - they love to read books about science, fantastical worlds and creatures, cooking, sports, brave characters, history... If it's in a book, they want to read it.
