I want to create learning centers that will keep my students engaged and focused while learning the necessary skills for reading, writing, social studies, and art. These centers will help students develop skills needed to be successful on state, weekly and monthly assessments.
The paper will be used to create task cards that will teach authors purpose, cause and effect, or sentence structure and will allow students who are tactile, visual, or kinesthetic learners to have the best chance of learning.
I will be able to use the task cards to teach students new literacy skills and students will use them in small groups or individually to practice the skill on their own or with a partner. These literacy centers will keep my students excited and motivated about learning.
The ink is needed to create the many literacy centers I plan on making to enhance the skills of my students. It will provide the much-needed hands on materials that help to increase student learning.
The storage carts will be used to store students’ materials so they can easily retrieve them. Being able to store the materials in a secure place will create an organized classroom where learning can take place.
The paper will be used to allow students to make art projects, practice their handwriting and graphic organizers to support their learning. The materials will be laminated to allow students to practice their skills and reuse the documents year round.
The post it tablet will help me to work with small groups and allow students hands on opportunities. The timer will be used to keep students on track as they transition to different centers, work in groups, work on assignments, and complete classwork.
With the help of ATPE and others, this project will support the learning of all students!
