Our classroom libraries are a central hub for individualized learning and instruction at our middle school. Our middle school readers have diverse preferences when it comes to literature and non-fiction texts. As an educator I want to provide a wide assortment of texts that will satisfy all of my students, but I cannot do that without refreshing the classroom library! A variety of literature and non-fiction texts are necessary resources that will encourage my students to expand their horizons and broaden their perspectives as life-long readers and learners. As our seventh graders continue to grow and achieve academically through this rigorous year, I want to ensure that they have the tools and resources that are needed to ensure success within the classroom. A revamped and refreshed library would not only sustain their curiosity as readers, but also allow them to continue sharing their own passion for reading with their classmates and the entire learning community at our school. I hope that you will consider supporting our middle schoolers by contributing to this classroom project.
