The students were so excited when we did the unboxing for our new materials and kept asking if they could use the scissors. We have assigned one colored box and corresponding scissors to their table to make it easier for my general education and special education students to distinguish which scissors belongs to what table.   • A Dollhouse For Pre-K

    Thank you for your generous donation of the dollhouse, dollhouse furniture, and cultural families set. Our dollhouse was set up durning our literacy center time and I also added a writing extension for students. They have really enjoyed using the dollhouse with a friend.

    The classroom was so excited to see the unboxing of our new materials they gasped and had a sparkle in their eye!

    Some students had never seen or gotten to play with a dollhouse, so to give them the opportunity was great! Some students who were shy to talk opened up as they "Played"

In order for students to become independent I must have them become responsible for taking care of their own bag where they will carry their math journal and work throughout their workstation rotations. I selected sand timers to be used during workstations or if someone needs to take a cool off time they are able to use them to relax. Some students learn visually and/or auditory from books, while others learn kinesthetically fro hands-on materials. The books I have selected can be useful in the classroom for the students who learn from seeing or hearing the book. I selected hands-on ten-frames and an addition game that students will love to use during the whole group lesson or when they are at their workstations.

About my class
