Funded Mar 28, 2019My students and I picked up the piano and they were static. On the way to our classroom I loved what I heard. They were impatiently conversing about how now they were going to create music and learn to play the piano. Their faces are a testament of the joy they felt as they each had the opportunity to play it for the first time.
The following weeks before the end of the school year several active students monitored their individual behavior to get a chance to play the piano. We had a ten minute scheduled list active throughout the school day. They were able to practice lessons for beginners during class using the earphones included.
Playing the piano for them was learning finger placing and key striking. One student in particular manage to increase her attention span and to stay focus in task completion. The only unfortunate side about this project is that I wrote it late in the school year.
This new school year I introduced the piano to my new class the second week of school and their reaction was the same. They are always eager to have their turn to create music!!!!
In the students' appreciation letters i mailed students expressed their gratitude. From my part I am grateful for your donation and bringing music to my students' lives!”
With gratitude,
