  • Purposeful Play in Kindergarten

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

My students are absolutely loving the sensory table as well as the grocery mart. Their faces lit up when they arrived in the classroom to see these two new items. They have been a hot commodity, and students have been patiently waiting their turn to get to use these new resources.

I love the fact that with your generosity I have been able to add these two great resources into my classroom. Not only does it bring joy to their faces, but they are learning how to patiently wait their turn, share materials, use their imagination, working on their reading and writing skills by making grocery lists and allowing tactile stimulation that is both engaging and helpful in emotional regulation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wilder

  • Every Child is an Artist!

    Funded May 7, 2024

My students love art! They love the time to be creative and express themselves through art. The art drying rack and card stock have been used many times already with great success! They love having a space to store their artwork to dry and are so excited to show it off to their families and classmates.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible and have given our classroom a gift that will last for many years to come! The smiles on my students faces says it all! We appreciate your generosity, love and commitment to classrooms such as ours.

    Many thanks!”

  • Transformations for Learning!

    Funded May 12, 2023

Room transformations are so engaging and fun for students! They are a great way to enforce, encourage, and reinforce skills that we are learning in the classroom.

My students absolutely had a great time with glow day, using the glow in the dark hats and construction vests. It was so much fun to be able to provide these outfits for my students so that they could all feel special and glow during glow day.

I look forward to using all of the other materials this year with my class as we begin to learn about numbers and counting. They will absolutely love the farm transformation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wilder

  • Sensory Sensation in Kindergarten!

    Funded May 9, 2023

My students and I are using the sensory materials everyday! My new students this school year absolutely love exploring them and using the sensory materials to help them calm their bodies and regulate their emotions.

The resetting station with all these new materials were one of the first things they noticed when they walked in the classroom. They were drawn to the colors and the sensory input these materials offered to them.

These materials will help students for many years to come! My students and I thank you so much for your generosity in helping to support social/emotional learning in the classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wilder

  • Transforming Learning to Engage Little Learners

    Funded May 4, 2022

My students were so excited to see our classroom transformed into Mrs. Wilder's Medical Facility. With the doctors outfits and gloves, students were able to pretend they were doctors and helped patients get better by filling in the missing vowel sounds for each word. They recorded it in their very own patient folder. Students had huge smiles and were engaged for the entire time! They were having so much fun that they didn't want to stop and take a break for lunch.

I am so excited to use these doctors outfits for many more years to come to engage more kindergarten learners in the future!”

    With gratitude,

  • Creating Independent and Responsible Learners

    Funded Dec 13, 2019

I just can't thank you all enough for our wonderful new lightweight chairs you provided for our classroom! The kids love them because of their color and how lightweight they are. They were all smiles the day they arrived. We took a trip down to the office, where each student got to carry a chair all on their own back to our classroom! Students have been commenting since they arrived about how easy they are to put up all by themselves! It is so wonderful to see these kindergarten students feel so successful and able to do their morning and afternoon jobs all by themselves now.

These chairs will be used for many years to come!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wilder

I have a class full of very eager to help kindergarten students! We have a variety of classroom jobs, which they love and that teach them about responsibility and how to be helpful and kind. Each student is responsible when they arrive in the morning to check in for lunch, take down their chair and then get started on their explore bin activity. The chairs that we currently have in our classroom are very aged and heavy. Most of my young students cannot independently pick their chair up or take it down. The Lifetime Kids Stacking Chairs would be so wonderful because they are lightweight and would allow my students to be able to independently take their chairs down in the morning and put them up at the end of each day. By donating to our project, you will be helping to create opportunities for these students to learn responsibility. I feel that this is the age in which students learn the importance of this skill. Practice with simple everyday tasks such as these allows them to feel successful. Students will feel pride in being able to do these jobs independently and feel a sense of accomplishment.
