Chromebooks will help bring my classroom into the 21st Century. Technology is all around us; unless you step foot in my 4th grade math class. My students have limited access to technology resources that help motivate and inspire them. Integrating Chrome Books will provide my students with learning opportunities in a real world setting. Students are more motivated and engaged in the lessons when technology is used. They see it as something they need to know and will use in their life as opposed to a traditional textbook learning environment. Having just a few of these ChromeBooks in class will allow my students to work on collaborative learning projects and engage in interactive lessons to help them reach their goals. One way students will use these chromebooks is to create tutorials using screencast technology that cane be used for years to come. Reading, writing, and math are skills that students need to be successful in life. However, in the 21st Century, technology skills are just as important to ensuring these learners grow into productive citizens in the world in which they live.
