Help support Mrs. Porter's Classroom

My students need 4 more Chromebooks in our classroom to be 1:2. Currently in our school, for grades K-3, we have 2 Chromebook carts, and then each 3rd grade class has 11 of their own. It is so hard to schedule a cart because all the teachers know that technology is so important to help students with learning. We use our Chromebooks for Google Docs, Google Classroom, Imaging Learning for our struggling students, and other sites for math and reading. We use the Chromebooks to assist in math, reading, writing, science and social studies. My students are so engaged when they are in charge of their learning on the Chromebooks. Our class has just finished a typing program and now they are ready to start typing their stories and publishing their books. They are so excited for this new adventure. Also right now they are researching animal life cycles in science. We have been learning about how to find credible websites to research. By having more Chromebooks in our class, we will be able to do many more projects like this.
