  • Playdough Builds Skills!

    Funded May 8, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity donating to this project so my prek learners can have a variety of playdoh colors to improve their fine motor skills and engage in sensory activities that support our play based units of study.

Playdoh helps little hands build essential muscles for later writing.

We squish, roll, use cookie cutters, different tools to create playdoh creations

We are so grateful as we use this material daily in our classroom.

Thank you again for your generosity and we are really rolling in the dough!.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Montesi

  • Building With “STEM” Materials

    Funded Dec 1, 2022

We can not thank you enough for your generosity in funding Building with STEM materials. We use these materials almost daily and love them all.

The marble run encourages students to think and build using tubes that will allow for a marble to run through it. The critical thinking , manual dexterity and problem solving has been incredible.

The magnetic board is used with the gears and the ramp manipulatives. Students are engrossed in creating paths that will work , designing and watching what happens with both of these toys.”

  • Imagination Stations in PreK

    Funded Feb 4, 2024

Thank you CDSE for the amazing additions to our classroom. The bookshelf and bins are creating a kid friendly art space for my little learners to be independent as the choose materials to create masterpieces. It is low and makes for easy access.

The chair has become a comfortable place for students needing to calm down to sit and practice breathing, reflecting snd calming down when big emotions get the best of us.

Thank you for helping to make our learning space even better. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.”

  • PreK Problem Solvers

    Funded Dec 31, 2023

A heartfelt Thank You for your generosity in purchasing these amazing legos for my PreK learners. They were so excited when the amazon boxes arrived and could not wait to open them and begin playing. They have been classifying animals, creating habitats for them too. They are asking inquiry questions just like Young Sheldon on CBS!! The number train is engaging students to build and count as well as being used for carrying animals! General Motors, we have some engineers in the making!!

Our classroom is a better place because of your generosity!! Thank you again.”

  • Lighting Up Little Learners

    Funded Sep 22, 2022

The light table is one of the favorite and inviting tools we have in our classroom. It changes colors and is an exciting and mesmerizing learning place. The day our boxes arrived students were beyond excited as to what was inside. The many different theme Magnatiles kits purchased by you have been an amazing addition to our classroom. The building cranes and house fit beautifully with our study of buildings. The arctic animals allowed students to create habitats . Engagement has been incredible with the new Magnatiles.

Thank you so much for providing fun and engaging learning resources to my prek students.”

  • We Are Scientists

    Funded May 21, 2022

What an amazing gift we received with your donations to We are Scientists. Our materials arrived as we were involved in our Tree Study and it could not have been more perfect timing. The binoculars gave us the ability to see high in the trees, watch birds fly and nest and look closely at the branches above. The magnifying glasses showed up up close bark on trees, insects and leaves and seeds.

Thank you so much again. These materials will be used by many little learners to help them wonder and investigate.”

  • Cozy Seating for Little Learners!

    Funded Oct 7, 2021

Thank you!! My little learners were so excited when they walked into class and saw the tree stumps snd leaf cushions in our reading nook and science center. The looks on their faces, and all wanting to try the out at the same time spoke volumes about the engagement and learning that would soon ignite!

They love to sit and read to each other, puppet friends and to practice writing.

  • Individual Hands-On Sensory Bins for Little Learners

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

This year has been like no other. We are completely remote so engagement has been challenging but this project definitely helped make it a bit easier.

My little learners and I can not thank you enough for your generosity which allowed for the purchase of the many manipulatives purchased to help my students learn! They are sorting by color, shape, attribute, counting, identifying, exploring, thinking and even creating.

As we continue remotely, I will continue to add and challenge my students using the materials purchased and hope to do another project in the future now that I have a better handle on what remote learning looks like.

Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!

Happy Holidays to all! Stay safe and Be grateful!

    Best,

Mrs Montesi and her little learners”

Sensory materials are essential to building schema, build literacy and math skills and allow for creative play. Little learners need lots of hands-on materials to learn and grow. Play is child's learning and creating individual sensory bins for my students will help them to practice fine motor skills, sorting skills, counting skills, letter identification and much more. These materials will allow my students to learn and grow both in the classroom or at home. I can not wait to go back to the classroom and help these little learners grow. Thank you for helping me make a difference in my students' lives.
