  • Sensory Corners and Hallways for our Kids - Together We Can!

    Funded May 12, 2023

The PS123 team thank you for the generous contribution to our "Sensory Corners and Hallways Project."

The materials for the sensory corners are being used in 2 special classrooms and the sensory hallways are benefiting all students as we placed different sensory paths in each floor of the building (basement, 1st, 2nd floor) giving access to students in all grades.

Now, the students can use the sensory hallway as a brain brake during tests, or just use it as a sensory snack all the time they are walking by it. Thank you to your help, the special classrooms now has a corner where the students can go to take a sensory break and self regulate, calm down or energize, depending what they need. We are extremelly gratefull for your generous donations! :)

Here is a video we put together to show our appretiation:

The occupational Therapy department from PS125 thanks you for the generous contribution to our "sensory Tools Project".

The tolls made a great impact helping to modify the classroom environment and making accommodations available for the kids in need to deal with their sensory issues during class and therapy, helping them to be able to focus more and engage in learning.

We put together a short Google Slide presentation, so you can have an idea how the equipment is being used and express our profound gratitude for your donation and kindness. (Please copy the link bellow, open it, click "Present" and enjoy the slides)
