Funded May 13, 2019My students are using new resources to collaborate and discuss ideas. They are writing in the poster paper their project ideas, conclusions, and presenting them to the class. My students are able to break out into groups and jigsaw topics. Then, they are able to use the markers and chart paper to present their findings. After, my students can go around in groups and see what others have done. This then leads to more inquiries and answers.
My students worked on a shelter project. This was part of our NGSS unit. My students were using engineering practices to build a portable/waterproof shelter with limited materials. In the chart paper, they drew their ideas and wrote down conclusions, etc.
When my students first saw the materials they were excited. Since they would be able to easily post their assignment without figuring out tape or magnets. The poster paper already had a backside that we can use to stick on any surface. This made it easier to have groups spread out around the room.”
With gratitude,
