Healthy and Happy Students
Funded Sep 2, 2022Thank you so very much for your generous contribution to our classroom supplies for keeping our kids happy, healthy, fed and hydrated. We use the supplies all day long every day. We use the hand sanitizer before eating the snacks that the students love. Students are doing a great job staying hydrated with the water you provided. Students are taking part in keeping themselves clean with hand wipes and their classroom clean with paper towels. You have provided necessary items that we depend on all day every day.
On the first day of school, students got to come in and see the snack bin full of tasty things to eat. They were over the moon! Keeping students fed is a very important part of our day and we were so happy to offer them so many choices.
As we have enjoyed the supplies together we are working on lessons related to health in terms of taking care of ourselves and taking care of our space. Your generosity allows students to feel safe and healthy and to be able to carry that feeling into their futures.”

Our Room: A Clean Happy Place
Funded Dec 15, 2017Thank you so very much for your generous support to fund the project I created to keep my classroom a clean a happy place. Your generosity is deeply felt and appreciated by me, my staff and students. As you may remember, what you helped to purchase for my classroom was many supplies for both personal hygiene such as hand sanitizer and facial tissues as well as supplies for keeping my classroom clean such as disinfectant wipes. These supplies proved to be all the more important this season with record numbers of flu cases. With the supplies, I taught lessons on how to prevent spreading germs and getting sick. My students, who learned and practiced skills such as blowing their noses and keeping their hands clean worked very hard and did their best to keep themselves and others healthy. I am happy to report that we only had one case of the flu and one case of a stomach bug. Based on the fact that these single cases did not spread, the project was a huge success! The experience of creating this project and receiving help from generous people like yourselves truly demonstrates that when teachers are empowered by the kindness of others, we can better meet the needs of our students, making sure they are healthy and happy. Thank you so very much!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Stepto
