It's Time to Re-Stock Our Very Busy School Store!
Funded Feb 15, 2023"Busy" does not even begin to describe the action our school store, The Supply Box, has been receiving! The kids and staff are all going crazy over the opportunity to visit and peruse our shelves with new and exciting items. Our LifeSkills class is learning and thriving with pragmatic skills, counting various money combinations, and making change after purchases. We love having our students participate in something so focused on a real-life activity, which we hope will support their independence in the future. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for helping us give our students these opportunities! We truly appreciate you.”

Let's Grow Our Mobile Snack Cart & School Store!
Funded Jan 27, 2023Working with a life-skills class, one of my roles as a speech pathologist is to target daily living skills and pragmatics. This Mobile Snack Cart and School Store has provided my students with the opportunity to 'learn through doing' through real-life experiences. They are showing amazing growth with their ability to speak to others, make eye contact, and use manners when entering other classrooms.
My students are excited to do this every day and are learning and growing every day! Thank you so much for your generous contributions to this project! We truly appreciate you!”

Differentiation At Our Fingertips!
Funded Feb 3, 2023I cannot thank you enough for supporting this project and providing me with the opportunity to give my students differentiated materials that meet their present needs. I can spend more time providing services and less time finding and making materials to use when teaching. The kindness and generosity of the donors is truly remarkable, and the words, "thank you," just are not enough to show how grateful we truly are. Thank you for giving, and supporting; you've provided a glimmer of hope to get us through the trying school year!”

Infusing Art Into Speech & Language!
Funded Sep 20, 2022I'm loving the fact that I can now infuse my students' love of art into our speech sessions. It's amazing how something like an art project/activity gives the opportunity to utilize so much expressive language. It's even more exciting (for me!) that I can target receptive language too; by having them do additional things like follow multi-step directives in order to sequence the steps for the activity. These materials are allowing my students the chance to generalize previously taught information and skills into real-life, which goes such a long way. Not to mention it's FUN for everyone! Thank you, as always, for your kindness and generosity. Your support for my students is truly appreciated.”

Funded Nov 29, 2022We are FINALLY going mobile!!!! The students are so excited to bring "The Supply Box" and our Snack Cart to fruition for our entire school!
They have recently sorted and labeled all of our snacks, while categorizing them into "salty" and "sweet." They've also been using social stories, scripts and visuals to learn the correct way to politely take orders from others.
For our school store, "The Supply Box," they have been focusing on updating our price lists/labels, distributing flyers and counting various money combinations.
Compliments of all of the generous donations from our amazing donors - YOU! - we will be having our MOBILE grand opening on Monday, December 19th, as a kick-off to the Christmas/holiday season!
Thank you for supporting us and our endeavors; and for providing these important job-related opportunities and life-skills for our scholars! We truly appreciate you more than you know.”

Funded Aug 30, 2022It may seem small and insignificant, but thanks to your donations to this project, I was able to get a mirror for my students to use to practice their sound productions. These particular students are already showing better progress with the consistent use of this mirror, and their intelligibility is improving (so is their confidence!). In addition, the magnetic whiteboard has also been a favorite amongst my speech kiddos, because they LOVE using magnetic letters as manipulatives when working on phonemic awareness and phonology skills. Your generous contributions to our speech room have provided materials that allow for a multi-modality approach to teaching and learning which gives EVERY student access to their own learning styles. THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts. We appreciate you!”

Fun in the Sun!
Funded Aug 9, 2022This project was originally planned for last school year's field day and end of the year student gifts, but being the items arrived later than expected, I have had the opportunity to share everything with my entire speech caseload. My students are particularly grateful for the snacks they've had the opportunity to earn, and they are consistently asking to use the stress balls and fidget snakes to help them focus during our sessions.
On behalf of myself and my students, we're shouting a great big, "THANK YOU" for your generous donations that have provided them with a little something extra to enjoy. We truly appreciate your kindness and support!”

Funded Apr 7, 2022Thanks to your kindness and generosity, my students are BEGGING to come to speech, even when it's not their turn! We are all absolutely loving our new games. Not only are they engaging, but the hands-on nature is truly allowing for a multi-modality approach that assists each student based on their learning style. They don't realize that these games are even learning opportunities; but when their hands are shooting up into the air and they're participating non-stop, it's clear that this is the best way to reach them academically. Thank you for donating to our project. We truly appreciate you.”

Funded May 3, 2022I can't even begin to explain how appreciative I am of your donations. Having the opportunity to purchase ready-made materials from TPT for my speech sessions has allowed me to spend more time focusing on monitoring progress and creating a fun and engaging environment where my students enjoy being. (Not to mention it has also granted me more time with my own children when I'm home, as I don't have to spend hours re-inventing the wheel and cutting/coloring/laminating!) Your donations have helped me differentiate my instruction to meet the needs of each individual student, while using a multi-modality approach to teaching and learning. Thank you so much for helping me be the best speech pathologist for my students. We all appreciate you more than you know!”
