Unfortunately, our school is not properly funded for computers in every class. My purpose is to build a one-to-one computer ratio so every student has access to their own device. This way, each student is able to participate in the full experience of online learning, research and remediation. Computers can improve attention span to allow for a VAKT environment that supports differentiated instruction that is critical to successful lessons. In addition, many of our students do not read at grade level. With classroom computers, they could interact with Discovery Education using the Social Studies Techbooks, MobyMax, and various other platforms to access multi-sensory resources necessary to help improve their reading deficits.
