The power of choice! Over the years I have noticed more and more students struggle with the traditional chair and desk throughout the school day. I know that all students learn in different ways and it's come to my attention that flexible seating is another way for students to enhance their learning. Standing up at desks, rocking in their chairs and constant movement led me to realize that my students were not completely comfortable in their learning environment. I want my students to take charge of their own learning and continue to grow as readers, writers, historians, mathematicians, scientists or whatever they find passion in! My students will have different seating options that they can choose from throughout their school day. They will have the option to sit on the floor at a table, read in a cozy rocking chair or camping chair, stand at a high top table or sit in a comfy bean bag chair. I want them to discover the learning environment that enhances their talents and strengths!
