Earlier this week I created a lesson that had puzzles for the students to solve. The answers lead them to locks which ultimately opened up a bigger box with even more locks. They were engaged and begging to do this style of lesson again! I would love to do this with them again, but I learned a few valuable lessons from the first attempt. First and foremost, we need more supplies such as flashlights, batteries, and locks! I really want them to have fun learning, but it was difficult to get all of the students involved when there weren't enough locks and students ended up sitting around waiting for their turn and it really slowed down the momentum of the lesson! I purchased about one hundred dollars worth of supplies, but it simply wasn't enough for my thirty-five students in each of my classes. Any help that you can give will be greatly appreciated and will benefit every student that enters my classroom for the next twenty-five years!
