Our school seeks to prepare our students for the world of STEM - a world of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. In the 21st century, students need to be able to navigate technology, particularly as they learn mathematics. With the transition to computer-based standardized testing, there is an additional need for access to technology to ensure our students can compete with students all across the country. Fluency in technology coupled with fluency in foundational math will fully prepare our students to be future leaders. As a special educator of math, I firmly believe that these laptops will enable not just my class, but all children in our school to access, use, and navigate technology on a daily basis access.
