• Handmade Scratchboards

  Funded May 30, 2023

  My students and I would like to thank you all who donated to this project. They enjoyed using the different mediums to create the scratch boards. They were surprised that they could make them from scratch since some of them used the pre-made ones in the past.

  By creating the boards themselves,they were able to appreciate their work and I could tell more time and effort was applied. Once again we thank you from our hearts for your generosity and giving us a chance to create an actual handmade art project.”

• Showing Off

  Funded Feb 16, 2023

  My students and I would like to give a great big THANK YOU and hugs to our donators for this project "Showing Off ". Our work is being displayed in a safe and eye catching way and we've gotten so many compliments from our fellow students as well as teachers and other visitors to our school. Our art is safe from falling on the floor and being thrown away or destroyed and there is more room for all students to be able to display their art. Once again we would like to thank our generous donors who gave to this project. You are so appreciated.”

• Digital Drawings

  We would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for our drawing tablets.

  The students and myself, who are learning about digital drawing have the chance to create art using this new tool. w appreciate the generous donors who continuously give to help students and teachers with things needed for the classroom that the county or state do not supply. It's people like y'all and your organization that put motivation back in the schools so students can go above and beyond. Once again, we would like to say thank you so much for your generosity.”

• Flowers for Mom

  Funded May 3, 2022

  My students and I would like to thank all who donated to our Flowers For Mom project. The students were able to create wonderful paper flowers and cards for the wonderful women in their lives.

  The students were ecstatic when they opened the boxes and saw all the wonderful supplies to make their projects extra special. I think their favorites were the colorful paper and pipe cleaners.

  Once again we would like to extend a huge thank you to all who donated and continue to give unselfishly to this wonderful program.”

• Keeping Our Art Safe!

  My students and I would like to thank all of the donors who gave to our project. Having these containers helps keep our artwork and supplies safe and easy to store. The students were so excited to open the boxes and started to put their supplies in them right away when they noticed the individual storage containers. They are very appreciative of the generous donations from all who support the program and once again my students and I would like to say a big thank you to the folks who make Donors Choose happen.”

• Can You Hear Me Now?

  My students and I would like to say a huge thank you for our new speakers. Not only are we able to hear the videos without straining our ears or reading sub titles, but we are able to jam to our favorite songs while we work on our art projects.

  We were so excited about our new supply when we opened the box we were treated with a movie and snacks. We love how loud and clear the sound is.

  Once again we really appreciate all you do and the generosity that comes from this program. We would struggle if it weren't for people like you.”

• Stuck Like Glue

  My students and I would like to thank all who donated to out project for the hot glue guns and sticks a plenty. We were able to hang our artwork outside the door with ease since the glue guns are cordless.

  When we opened the box, the class was so excited to see our new supplies and we hung our artwork up as well as posters and were able to fix a few things that needed to be hot glued. We are so thankful for programs like Donors Choose and the generous donors and volunteers who make this program so successful. Once again we want to say thank you very much.”

• Adding Color to Art! Part 2

  We would like to thank each of your from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful art supplies you donated to our class. When we opened the box and saw all the wonderful colored pencils, the students couldn't wait to get started on their projects to add color to their beautiful drawings. They couldn't believe that their are kind people out their willing to help out and it gives them a little more faith in the goodness and kindness of people. Once again my students and I want to say thank you and give big air hugs to each one of you who have helped.”

• Adding Color to Visual Arts!

  My students and myself would like to thank all those who made this project happen. My students were so excited to open up the package and see all of the wonderful new colored pencils and markers. The supplies the school provides are never consistent and the colored pencils have poor quality and many of my students cannot afford decent school supplies, so materials like the ones you all donated are a blessing. The students are able to create bright, vibrant and colorful art and be proud when I hang it up. One again we would like to say thank you for your generosity.”
