My second graders started this year with a very limited ability to read and they showed a disinterest in reading. As the year has progressed and their reading skills have improved, I am excited to say that my students have finally become interested in real books. Your generous and heartfelt donation will allow my students to gain access to a variety of books in a wide range of levels, which will in turn, motivate them to keep reading and become more proficient readers. If my second graders can gain proficiency in reading and therefore in the English language, we will all benefit one day.
