Reading is the foundation of everything. It’s important that students have an opportunity to read and be able to read materials they’re interested in. By creating an independent reading area with comfortable bean bag seating, it will create an inviting space for students to read comfortably. Also, the Scope magazines will provide students an opportunity to read topics that interest them. The idea is to get students reading and sometimes we have to hook them with topics that interest them. Because one my class incorporates a computers based program, students need headphones. Unfortunately, they go through lots of them during the school year. The headphones allow students to interact with the computer program effectively.
