Students will be using the materials to learn how shapes create other shapes. In addition, students will be able to describe objects using the names of the shapes, using position words above, bellow, beside, in front of, behind, next to etc.
During math centers students will use their imagination and materials to create other shapes and build bridges, towers and buildings. Students will create objects by connecting the shapes.
In addition, students will work in pairs or in groups to talk about the similarities and differences of the shapes as they are being built.
During recess these items will be shared with other kinder students. This project will reach at least 48 students or more.
