Sketching Out Math!
Funded Apr 1, 2024Your donation has been a huge success in my Algebra classroom. The students love to use the sketch boards to work out their math problems. Not only does it reduce our need for supplies such as markers and whiteboards, but it provides a reusable and reliable resource for the kids.
The students who I have had issues with showing work are now buying into the sketch boards and are actively working out problems on their boards. That has been a tremendous success.
This new tool has improved student engagement and collaboration in our classroom. They are more willing to work problems out and collaborate with myself to find solutions. Thanks to all of you who donated to my project!”

Hearing Algebra!
Funded Nov 1, 2023You have really helped out several students in my math classroom. They have been able to use the headphones to work at their own pace and increase their focus during class time. They are extremely grateful for your help. Many of my students don't have or cannot afford their own headphones, so your generations have directly impacted their learning abilities.
They have been able to stay on task, complete their videos and assessments, and find success in our self paced learning environment. I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and willingness to donate and assist these kids in their learning.”

Streaming for Knowledge in Earth Science
Funded Aug 28, 2023The students are absolutely pumped to work on the stream table project. That being said this unit will not occur until the spring so we are in the process of working through our curriculum in preparation for the lab! We discussed the activity this past week and there is a bunch of excitement from the kids to get hands on and learn the science behind rivers and streams!
We plan to do a week long project where students alter certain characteristics of the river and observe and measure the changes it makes to the overall river! They will then create a lab report that outlines what they learned.
Following the completion of this project, we will use our smaller totes to complete an activity over the impacts of tsunamis on coastline cities. They will explore water level changes and erosion impacts! We are making Earth Science hands on and fun as the students progress through the curriculum. Thanks for your help!”

Funded Jun 6, 2022First of all I would like to thank everyone for their continue donations and support to our wrestling program. We are growing in the youth and girls side and have sustained numbers on our boys side. With alot of youth on the team we definitely expect to make significant strides over the coming years.
We typically film all of our matches so that our athletes are able to view their film and come to practice with three things to work on and three things they did well. We also will break down matches as a team to highlight improvements in technique. Over the years we have run into the issue of not having enough tablets to film all of our matches so that hinders the learning of my athletes. With the two new tablets we are able to ensure that we film every match and allow every athlete an opportunity to improve while in our program.
My stats and film crew will be especially grateful since they are the ones tasked with filming matches. You have not only helped my athletes, but now have helped alleviate the stress of my support staff as well. Overall we are very appreciative of all of the support and cannot thank you enough.”

Building Our Future Through Robotics
Funded May 6, 2020Obviously in the given times of Covid our competition for robotics has been cancelled. That being said, your generous donations have allowed us to continue working on robotics in our classroom. The various tools you have donated have allowed the students to still construct and build a robot to compete in our very own community competition. This enables my kids to still participate in hands on, STEM learning due to your kindness and generosity.
Robotics is a phenomenal programs that allows students to collaborate and build. We utilize skills in organization, time management, construction, art, math, science, and so much more. The new tools such as the drill, saw, and workbench allow us to have our own space to work and build. The growth I have seen in these students over the course of robotics is amazing. Teamwork has increased exponentially.
My building crew on the robotics team is especially excited for the new tools. In the past we have had to share with the shop and that can slow us down at times. To be able to have access to our own tools and workspace has led to an increase in production and construction of our robot this season. Again thank you so much for the opportunity to expand our program and help these students find an interest in STEM.”

Funded Nov 9, 2019Your donations have allowed us to improve our strength and conditioning program that we incorporate into our wrestling program. Your kind donations have allowed us to implement more jump roping and medicine ball work. In addition, you have allowed us to get a better idea of the health of our individuals through managing body fat to control healthy and proper weight cutting.
The boys were super excited to see the new jump ropes and medicine balls when they were brought in to practice. They are very thankful for the support and kindness you guys have shown helping them succeed.
Due to the work we have been putting in we have been able to host our first school triangular (which we won) and finally had two tournament champions this season. We hope to make you proud as we continue our season! Thank you!!”

Cougar Strength
Funded Jul 1, 2019On behalf of our student athletes I would like to thank you for your generous donation of our new weightroom equipment. The students have been working extremely hard this season for their respective fall sports and the benefits have shown. Our football team is currently undefeated, our cross country team has seen early success, and our volleyball team is on track for an improved season.
The students and other coaches were very excited when they saw the new weightroom equipment. We did not have equipment that directly aided the abdominal and forearm muscles so our athletes would get creative. Now they are excited to get to work on developing those muscles and improving their overall strength and conditioning.
The next step would be that our athletes continue to work hard and improve in their respective sports. The overall goal for every program is to make it to our state tournament competition. I know that every coach, myself included, has expectations for their teams to see success in the near future. Due to your generous donation we now can find ways to help our athletes improve off the court/mat/field/track and show those results on competition days.
Thanks

Funded Mar 17, 2019We are moving into our second year as a wrestling program. Most of my team has not had any experience before and it has been a process for the boys to learn and grow in the sport of wrestling. Your donations have allowed us to put in more work and better our skills to allow us to succeed. We are very grateful for the support you have shown us.
The boys have utilized the grappling dummy to work on throwing offense and footwork allowing us to add another dimension to our growing skillset. The headgear gives us additional equipment for our boys to have and it allows them the comfort to compete without worrying about equipment malfunctions. The dummy has been the most important part of the donation because it allows my kids to continue getting work in practice even when we have an odd number of athletes.
We hope to improve our success entering into our second season. It is because of support from individuals such as yourselves that we have been able to have early success in our program. Thank your kind donation and we hope to represent you well this upcoming season!

Funded Feb 11, 2019Technology is such a growing part of the wold we live in today and it is becoming increasingly important to allow students to be exposed to new technologies. This aspect of education allows kids to have a hands on approach to solving real questions and performing real labs. Students are able to find the material relatable to the outside world and that gives the lesson more meaning to the students.
The students really, really love utilizing the drone. Many of my students have not experienced using a drone and it has been amazing to see them brighten up when the drone was broken out and used. Students have been able to think about the physics and engineering of its design and how it can be utilized outside the classroom. The video camera has allowed my students to perform various projects. The forensic science class has used it for their spring finals creating their own mini crime scene movie and the wrestling team has utilized it to watch film. As far as the hot plate and scale go they have streamlined the laboratory process and allowed kids to excel in areas they normally struggled to grasp. Thank you so much for the donation as it has had a tremendous impact on my student's lives.”

Building our future health professionals!
Funded Mar 27, 2018The updated and new textbooks have been an extraordinary edition to my anatomy curriculum. The textbooks provide graphic and detailed diagrams with well-written explanations that drive student wonder and learning. The students utilize the textbooks to attack real world medical problems and create a sound understanding of anatomical terminology. They used their understanding to attend a cadaver lab tour at a local university and were able to answer multiple questions to further their understanding of the human body. Many students have used this interest to pursue interests in the medical field and a few seniors even used the knowledge to purse college health careers such as nursing, medical accounting, and much more. The students explored the workings of the heart and were able to use the text during dissection and heart model projects. Students also explored digestion through the National Guard's Chemistry of MRE lessons. Overall, these texts have allowed me to push my students and enhance their educational knowledge and I am so grateful for the wonderful donation.”
