The iPads will allow the students to explore various apps used for second language learners. Since the students are familiar with this device, the time spent on task will improve. The iPads will also allow students to work at their own pace and at their own level, without feeling the added pressure of keeping up with other students. The Chromebooks will increase the time and opportunities students can spend working in pairs and supporting each other as they learn. They will also give the students access to on-line search engines and educational websites that will enhance their overall academic experience.
