Use Color To Enhance The Research Process
Funded Mar 25, 2025The new printer donated to MS 137's school library will be an invaluable resource for students, enhancing their research capabilities and improving their academic productivity. Students will be able to print research materials, essays, and project drafts directly from the library. This will be particularly helpful for students working on group projects, allowing them to print collaborative documents and share physical copies of their work with ease. With the availability of a reliable printer, students will no longer have to worry about delays or access issues when needing printed materials for class presentations or assignments.
In addition to research purposes, the printer will foster creativity and support a wide range of academic activities. Students will have the opportunity to print visual aids, posters, and other creative projects that require high-quality output, enhancing their learning experience. For instance, students working on science or history projects can print charts, graphs, and images that complement their written work, making their presentations more engaging and informative. Overall, the new printer will provide essential tools for both academic and creative growth, ensuring that students at MS 137 have the resources they need to succeed.”

This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 2 other donors.I Want to Be a Historian!
Funded Aug 13, 2020Thank you all for your generous donation. With this Teacher Pay Teachers gift card I was able to purchase a Digital U.S History Notebook. Remote learning has been difficult to keep students engaged. Now I can provide my students with a wide variety of texts that will allow them to have a deeper and richer understanding of Social Studies. Some of my students have a difficult time understanding certain concepts so this gift card has allowed me to purchase specific material to cater the needs of my students. I can now use visuals, historical documents and maps that will assist with comprehension. This Teachers pay Teachers gift card will enhance learning for over 160 students! Many thanks!”

Using Technology to Enhance Social Studies!
Funded Nov 10, 2015Thank you so much for your contribution towards a laptop for my classroom. In today's world it is essential that students have resources available to them at a moments notice, in order to spark their interest. I am currently teaching 160 students 8th grade Social Studies many of which face a variety of difficulties. By having this laptop in class, I will be able to show them a variety of primary an secondary sources that will enhance their learning.
The morning the laptop arrived in class you could see the excitement in their faces and I was so thrilled because I knew I would be able to help so many more students with just this one computer.
I teach two special education classes and these two classes will benefit the greatest from the laptop. Many of them are below reading level and having visual aids and texts available at a lower level will ensure that they understand key concepts in order to be successful.
In closing, the donation that you have made will go far beyond your imagination. You are changing the future and giving students who struggle in school a better and hopeful future.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Sitaram-Bhika
