Students enjoy practicing their writing skills on the dry erase easel as well. Our classroom is a thriving community of learners who are growing and learning by leaps and bounds this school year! We are so grateful for your contribution to our classroom, it will continue to benefit us for years to come.”

Girls on the Run Is So Much Fun!
Funded Sep 27, 2023Thank you so very much for your generous contribution to ensure that the Girls on the Run program was able to continue for my students this year. We had a very successful season, with the girls completing their 5k run at Randall's Island this past December. It was a joyful and inspiring day for all! Throughout the season, the girls worked on building social, emotional, and physical skills while building healthy habits. They developed friendships and worked/trained together as a team. Participants are so excited to take part in Girls on the Run again this spring!”

Inviting, Enticing, and Ready to Learn!
Funded Aug 22, 2023Thank you so much for your generous contributions to my classroom project! My students are thriving this school year and are so happy to come into their classroom each morning. Thanks to your contributions, we were able to make our classroom an inviting and exiting room to come learn in, while ensuring that the sensory needs of the students are being met. Flexible seating options provide for student autonomy and comfort during work time. The alphabet carpet is a big hit, providing space for whole group and small group learning as well as social skill building during play time.
Once again, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Marks
Let's Make Sens(ory)!
Funded Aug 15, 2022Thank you so very much for your generous contribution to my classroom. Sensory regulation is is so important for children who live with autism. When the individual sensory needs of a student is met, the more comfortable the child is and that's when the best learning can happen! Students have agency to choose what they need at any given moment. My students are comfortable and happy in their classroom, knowing that they have all of the supplies that are needed to help them to regulate and be most successful. We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

Clean Air for All!
Funded Dec 18, 2020Thank you so very much for your generous donation to my project. Because of your donations, I was able to purchase three large and powerful air purifiers to place strategically around my classroom.
These air purifiers have helped to keep all students and adults in the classroom safe and in school during the COVID-19 pandemic. My students are thriving both socially and academically this school year.
We all breathe a little easier knowing that the air in our classroom is safe and purified!”

Let's Communicate!
Funded Sep 7, 2019Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our class project, Let's Communicate! Our ACES students are thriving in the ICT setting and are using their new technology to help them to communicate their thoughts and ideas to their classmates and teachers.
Assistive technology in the classroom provides for many pathways to student learning and engagement. Our new step-by-steps and keyboards allow for students to explore and develop their emergent literacy skills. This technology also supports positive and meaningful interactions amongst students of all abilities.
The kindergarten and first grade ACES ICT program thanks you for helping us to provide the very best school experience for our ACES students!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Marks
