    First, I would like to say thank you on behalf of 2023 at KIPP: Courage. The students were so excited to see the box and the headphones. They took great care with them and understood the impact of the gift. It allowed students to access knowledge so much more and engage on a deeper level.

    I was unaware at the time of the request just how much of an impact it would make. The headphones helped moved the bar for students, not just in my room but also in TX History, ELA, and Science classes! It seems trivial, but the headphones became as important as a pencil/pen in class. It allowed all of us, as a 7th grade team, to expand our students thinking , challenge, and engage with them on their level.

    Once again, thanks so much for choosing my project to support! It really means a lot to me and my kiddos!”

Hello, My name is Mr. Moore and I teach 7th grade math (pre-algebra) for KIPP: Courage in Houston Texas. We are a rigor based classroom that pushes students to do their best every day no matter what the circumstances may be. It is a warm, loving environment where students feel safe to be curious and explore the complexities of math-with a tad bit of bad humor from me!
