Later this year I am hoping to do an exciting mystery genre unit with my students! The students will split into small groups to do a chapter book study. They will be reading, discussing, writing, thinking critically, and so much more. I try to instill a love of reading in my students. This mystery unit will be sure to spark excitement. Mysteries are always fun, and the suspense keeps the students engaged to the very end. I have chosen books on a variety of reading levels, so that each group will have a book on its reading level. My hope is that the students will fall in love with the mystery genre and be inspired to read more books in the series after the study is completed.
