Trying to expand our learning adventures in Kindergarten is difficult with a limited supply of hands-on materials. As a kinesthetic learner myself, I know the importance of having hands-on materials to reinforce skills. By contributing to our project, you will not only enable us to target all learning styles, but you will ultimately enhance our classroom experiences and enable us to achieve our academic goals. Math requires hands-on learning. The ten-frames will enable the students to see numbers in a different way. The magnetic numbers will allow the students to make numbers and addition and subtraction problems on all magnetic surfaces. The counters will benefit the students with sorting, classifying, counting, adding and subtracting. Reading and literacy also benefits from hands-on materials. The magnetic letters will enable students to build consonant vowel consonant words, practice high frequency words, and make sentences on magnetic surfaces. High frequency words and consonant vowel consonant words and learning to read go hand in hand. The CVC games will provide a different approach to learning and practicing these. The students will also benefit from letter stamps by making words and sentences in playdoh and ink on paper.
