Parallel Teaching!
Funded Feb 3, 2020Thank you so much for donating towards this project. We are so grateful! Your donations allowed us to incorporate station teaching in our classroom.
The students were excited to receive the packages, and see the board being assembled. They could not believe that these new materials came from amazing donors like you.
The rolling whiteboard has been such great addition to our classroom. The students love showing their thinking and problem solving. The emoji erasers excite students to participate and engage during math stations.
Thank you again !”

Funded Jan 26, 2020My students were thrilled to receive these resources. When the boxes arrived, almost all students volunteered to open them!
Flexible seating not only brightens up the classroom layout, it allows students the flexibility of feeling comfortable while learning. Students now have the option of earning a flexible seating chair as a positive incentive. The chairs are also used in small group instruction. During technology station time, students are allowed to sit in the chairs as well.
Students were extremely excited to receive these materials, and they have been a positive addition to our classroom.”

Flexible Seating for Our Class
Funded Feb 15, 2019Flexible seating has transformed my classroom this year. Prior to Donors Choose and flexible seating, I was not aware of the impact diverse seating and seat choice could make. Scholars are visibly more engaged in learning, and are excited to join group activities and learning tasks. Doesn't hurt that these donations have made my classroom is also vibrant colorful and welcoming!
Thanks to donors like you, scholars in my classroom are able to experience quality materials that create a safe and nurturing learning environment.”

531's Diverse Seating
Funded Dec 31, 2018I wish I purposefully took 'before' pictures of my classroom. My, my, traditional classroom furniture. Uncomfortable seats, dark colors like blue and brown. Ugh. Well now, TOTAL 180! My classroom now looks welcoming, vibrant, modern, and most importantly, inclusive of all learners. Thanks to kind humans like you, my scholars who attend a title 1 school have high quality modern furniture. THANK YOU! Scholars have replaced the traditional school chairs with our new furniture (colorful wobble stools, swivel task chairs and stools).
Scholars were so excited when we received our delivery. Out with the old, in with the new!!!
Next steps would be reading a recent article on the power of flexible seating, and engaging in a classroom discussion on how it has positively impacted our classroom.”

Ms. Gonzalez
This classroom project was brought to life by CRUNCH and 5 other donors.Watch me Wobble, Wiggle, and Write!
Funded Nov 21, 2018Thank you so much for your donations! This was my first Donors Choose project, and I am thrilled it was fully funded. Working in a title I school, quality resources are not easy to come by. However, thanks to Donors Choose and big-hearted people like you, my scholars were able to receive modern, quality furniture that enhanced our classroom community. When scholars first saw the materials they were so excited. They could not believe generous donors gave to our classroom. Immediately, I heard questions such as "Is the person a millionaire?" "What company do they work for?" "Why did they want to give us money?"
As soon as we assembled all of the pieces, scholars were excited to try out each piece! Flexible seating has allowed my scholars to use furniture that best supports their learning needs. Our classroom is now vibrant and welcoming with our diverse furniture pieces.
Thank you so much for making a difference. My scholars and I truly appreciate it.”

Funded Dec 6, 2018Thank you so much for your kind donations. Your generosity will allow over 30 scholars to engage in hands-on building. Through building these STEM kits, scholars will strengthen critical thinking skills such as decision making, problem solving, and communication with peers. These kits will be used during STEM clubs which take place once a week. During this club scholars in grades 3-5 work in teams and commit to a goal by building a specific kit.
When scholars first saw the materials, they were excited to say the least. They could not believe that donors wanted to contribute to our classroom. Brand new modern materials! Now more than ever they are excited and look forward to coming to this classroom. Thanks to you, scholars now have the opportunity to nurture their STEM (or STEAM whichever you prefer) skills, which supports college and career readiness.”
