My project is to create a soothing environment for my students with special needs. These items would be a wonderful start. A clean rug with soothing colors will be a peaceful place for my student with sensory needs, to sit on. A chart stand would allow the students to clearly see the charts as we make them during a lesson. Right now we do not have one and I have to cover the smart board with chart paper when are build a chart together. Lastly, the ipads would greatly help the students in my class with communication delays. There are also so many opportunities to touch, to write on an ipad. Many children that do not want to pick up a pencil or cannot due fine motor delays, can write with their finger on an iPad, and that would be an amazing option for my students.
