Headphones to Support Learning
Funded Mar 3, 2023These headphones have been a wonderful addition to our classroom. It helps the students to focus on what they are doing while using their Chromebooks. It also helps so that other students are not distracted by the sounds and talking coming from the Chromebook. Many students in the classroom do not have head phones and this help to the other students be able to have them to use. The students have been enjoying using them! I want to thank you all for all your donations and helping my students!

This classroom project was brought to life by An anonymous classroom supporter and 11 other donors.A Carpet to Come Together for Learning!
Funded Feb 18, 2018We now are able to meet and have a place for everyone to learn together! We now have a clean and fresh carpet. All the students will have their very own spot and everyone will be able to fit on the rug. The rug has squares and circle so the students have their own personal space. We can use the squares and circles to divide students in groups and pairs to work together.
The students were so excited when they saw the carpet on the floor and could not wait to sit on it. They take turns picking to sit on the different color circles.
The new rug is our group meeting space that will allow us to read, write, sing, dance, and learn together as a whole class.”

Step up to Safe Learning
Funded Aug 28, 2017The students were so excited to try out the step riser when it came into our classroom. Each student got to try it out by reaching items on the whiteboards and calendar that they were not able to before we had the step riser. Students now can reach lesson using the mimeo and Internet interactive lessons on the board and more.
I am more comfortable having them stepping up to learn on the step riser because of the stability and side rails for the students to hang on to. The storage unit is great as well to put things away and in a safe place. All kindergarten classrooms should have one of these in the class!
Thank you again to all donated to make this happen for our students!”

Learning While Wiggling, Waggling, and Wobbling!
Funded May 27, 2017The students love the new flexible seating. The students are trying out which seats they like best by switching periodically. Some students prefer other seats better than others do.
I like that I can use the seating to change the environment for the class. I can also use the seats or bouncy bands for specific students who need a certain type so they can stay focused on their learning.
The students and they parents were excited to see a different set up in a kindergarten classroom. The students really liked the idea that they did not always have to sit in a chair. They also liked that when they sat in a chair, they still had the bouncy bands so the chair was now a special kind of chair.
My next steps for my students are to add more options of seating. My next project through Donorschoose.org was a step riser and that was funded very quickly thanks to my wonderful parents. It will be in the classroom soon!”
