My students think of math as something you only use in the classroom, not in their every day lives. These laptops will be used to extend the learning past our classroom walls. They will explore the different applications of math in their lives, but they will also research different industries throughout the city of Houston. These laptops will be used to explore math at work in college, career, and daily lives. The things individuals learn will be presented to their peers through our learning management system, Schoology. This gives students a sense of purpose in their work and pride in their accomplishments. These laptops will be used to develop and present authentic assessments of their learning.
