My classroom this year has 14 fourth and fifth grade special ed students. All of them have varying degrees of learning disabilitles and medical dianosises ranging from ADD to social and emotional issues. Every one of them is special in their own way and have the potential to do great things with their lives. They love coming to "our" classroom because I've created a space where they can feel successful when they express themselves in a smaller classroom setting. Everyone of them is eager to share their work....even the shy ones As stated in my project I have one "wiggle" chair that I brought from home. I was amazed at the difference it has made for one student who was constantly moving around the classroom. When he had this chair he slightly bounced while he was writing one of the best essays I have heard this year.
