  • Cricut Cutter Crafting Club

    Thank you so much for your very generous donation! It is so appreciated by myself, the students, and other staff members. The kids are really enjoying learning the technology. One thing I love most is that some kids have become experts and have been teaching other kids. We have mad canvasses, t-shirts and out some quotes around the kids made names for the doors of their teachers. It's a new way for them to use their creativity. A special moment was when the basketball team came to me to use my "machine" to create a custom T-shirt for their coach.

  • Are They Really Showing Halloween Decorations Already

    Wow! It has been a busy but great start to the new school year. The students are so excited over all of their new supplies. They use them daily to complete tasks from the mundane daily writing to projects. The color printer and scanner has been a huge benefit! The kids are using it to enhance projects, I have used it to make colorful graphs and graphic organizers to help differentiate for all of the learners in my classroom. We appreciate all of your support and can't wait to continue to flourish both academically and artistically because of your donation. Thank you!”

  • Pencils, Paper and Pens. Oh, my!

    Thank you so much for contributing supplies to our classroom. I work in a low-socioeconomic area and it has been difficult each year to personally finance and keep up with the needs of my students in terms of supplies. I hate to waste classroom time on students looking for pencils and asking to borrow. Because of your donation my students have access to pencils, paper and markers without having to ask, waste time, or feel embarrassment. The provided photos show the students using the supplies for their first art project, a foldable that helped them organize evidence for an argument essay. The students were focused and quite pleased that they had access to supplies right at their table. It also helped behavior as no students needed to be out of their seats. We have enough supplies to the last the year, and support any other projects.”

  • Oh snap! We need a new Yearbook Camera!

    Thank you so much for supporting our project to raise money for a new yearbook camera. The PS/IS 66 yearbook committee is grateful to you all for allowing them the opportunity to capture all of their special moments on a quality device. The camera elevated the caliber of our yearbook for the 2017 school year and will continue to do so for the coming school years. As their teacher and committee leader it was very exciting when we received the camera in the mail and set it up. The students were all very excited and eager for their turn to use the camera at events.

This is my 5th year as the Yearbook Committee Administrator. The first year, we had a pretty old camera, but it served it's purpose. By the second year, the camera had to be laid to rest. Since then, the twenty yearbook committee students and I have been using our iphones to take all of the yearbook photos. While I am very proud of the students and the yearbooks that we have been publishing, I am disappointed that we do not have higher quality photos. The students on the committee always bring fresh, creative and innovative ideas each year. I wish that we had the technology to support those same ideas. This camera would help us to be able to better capture all of our special senior moments. The carrying case would ensure that the camera stays safe year after year.
