Preschool students need as many modes as possible for communication. Many of my students have very limited speech/language and/or are difficult to understand when they speak. The Go Talk will empower students in the classroom by giving them a “voice”. This will foster a greater sense of belonging as they use the Go Talk to communicate with teachers and peers to meet their needs. Using a modality such as the Go Talk will help students to develop their own speech and language skills as it helps to scaffold speech and language development by offering both a visual (picture) combined with a spoken voice when the buttons are pressed.
