Currently, in our school, we have to share sixty computers. There are online English programs that I would love the students to use a few times a week to help improve their grammar, spelling and stylistic techniques. Most of these students don't have access to computers at home and limited use at school. I would love for them to be able to use Chromebook computers to type their papers, be able to use online programs that can help improve their vocabulary, knowledge of literary terms, grammar, writing essays and contribute to improving their reading. Most of my students are way behind the state standards in English and I want to start using various online programs to get the students up to speed with their vocabulary, grammar and reading skills. With large classroom sizes, it's hard to help every student where they are struggling at. With online programs such as grammarly.com, fastforword.com, these students not only can improve their English knowledge, but also can catch up to their peers and state standards. These programs, as well as getting them onto computers, is important to make them competitive with students from other schools.
