  • Digital Family Engagement

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you so much for this gift for our students. We have been able to do so much with this device in so little time. This technology has helped our students go on websites to explore new platforms and play important games that help with their social emotional growth.

What's most exciting about this technology for the students is how they are able to participate more in the activities going in the online world. Being able to participate online in 2023 is a big deal because since covid so many students are technologically advanced we want to give them a chance to participate in the way the world operates most efficiently.

There are several students who have especially warmed up to this new technology when I do small group with students we use the technology to play kahoot and it lights up their face. When they're having a rough day and need a break from the class they come to my office to use the technology for a brain break. This helps them stay out of trouble and give them the space to use the technology to solve a minor delay in their day.

We are so forever grateful for your donations!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Breakenridge

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The large carpet will be placed in the middle of the office and used as a gathering place during mini-lessons and a relaxing unconventional place to sit. The bean bags will be the students "chill seat" where they can literally take a load off and get comfort. This office is more than just a meeting space, it is an area where they can come take a break from the overlapping stressors they face daily. We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long experts at self expression. I am learning our students’ academic strengths and weaknesses, gain insight into their emotional well-being, and mediate between their teachers and parents to ensure that they receive the support they need across the board. As the social worker, I have done extensive research and reading on ways youth can express themselves and relieve stress through play.. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
