  • Technology to Communicate and Learn During Covid

    Thank you so much for funding our headphones! My students will be using these to each day to communicate via technology. It will have a great impact on how we learn during both remote and in class learning, moving forward. We have realized through the pandemic communication is such an important part of the learning process. These headphones will help so much. I can't wait to share your generosity with them.   • Classroom Chromebooks

    Funded Jan 27, 2017

    Thank you so much for your contribution to my class project. I was able to purchase three new Chromebook Computers for my classroom. The new computers have provided students successful opportunities to study and learn in smaller groups this year. These smaller groups were especially beneficial for students as they prepared for the writing, reading and math state tests. The Chromebooks have also been used to increase understanding of technology and expand lessons in 21st century skills.

    The class is excited to begin their last research project this year using the new Chromebooks. My hope is to one day have enough computers for each student to use. Thank you for your support to education. We couldn't have the success we do without donors like you.”

    This classroom project was brought to life by Google.org and 5 other donors.
This project will allow students to use Chromebooks on a daily basis as part of both language and writing curriculum with an additional emphasis in science and social studies. The Chromebooks will also be used to enhance a reteach and enrichment program created to differentiate student learning. Chromebooks will prepare students for electronic testing and provide technical writing practice, skills that must be learned and practiced on a computer. Students will not have the exposure needed without the technology accessible to them. I am working to provide daily opportunities for students by increasing the number of Chromebooks in the classroom to accommodate a growing class of 33 third graders!

About my class
