  • Teachers Make the Best Learning Materials

    Funded Apr 26, 2017

Thank you for all of your generous donations. That materials that I purchased from Teachers Pay Teachers have been a huge success in my classroom.

My students have benefited from using illustrated writing prompts and graphic organizers to help them practice their oral language skills, spell content vocabulary and independently generate ideas for writing. They used task cards to practice a wide range of grammar skills through games and partner activities.

Thank you again for all of your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tiemann

  • Teacher Created Learning Materials

    Funded Feb 19, 2017

Thank you for all of your generous donations. That materials that I purchased from Teachers Pay Teachers have been a huge success in my classroom!

My students have used phonics reading and writing passages to improve their reading and writing skills in a systematic way. Illustrated writing prompts and sequencing cards have allowed my students to practice their speaking and writing skills.

I also was able to find clip art to help illustrate new concept for my lower level students. This has been particularly helpful when they are studying new concepts such as recycling and careers.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tiemann

  • The Best Teaching Materials Are Made by Teachers

    Funded Dec 28, 2016

Thank you for all of your generous donations. That materials that I purchased from Teachers Pay Teachers have been a huge success in my classroom.

My students have used illustrated writing prompts and graphic organizers to help them spell content vocabulary and independently generate ideas for writing. They practiced reading texts on their independent reading levels with the reading passages.

I had students that are new to the country recently join my school. Using the gift card, I was able to find basic vocabulary games and activities to support them.

Thank you again for all of your support.”

  • We Want to Read All About Being Healthy

    Funded Aug 2, 2016

Thank you again for all of your donations. I was so excited to start the school year off with these wonderful books. With the sets of books I was able to integrate nutrition into guided reading lessons. Students read books about fruits, vegetables, and other healthy foods. The simple text and bright photographs helped my ESOL students to understand what the text was about. Students would get excited when they came across food that was familiar to them and learned about new foods as well.

In addition I received books to use as read aloud. In particular books highlighting food from around the world allowed students to hear nonfiction texts about a topic that highlighted familiar foods that their classmates were not familiar with. This let students share personal connections with the texts.

My students will continue to benefit from these excellent books for many years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tiemann

  • Empowering Students to Write Through the Arts

    Funded Mar 15, 2016

    Dear Donors,

Thank you for all of your generous donations. My students have enjoyed using the arts to improve their writing skills.

Students have been using the writing prompts to help them generate ideas when they are writing. Additionally, the directed drawing cards help motivate students to add details to their writing so that they can include a related picture.

The materials that excite them the most right now are the water colors. Some of my reluctant writers have shown significant improvement in the effort they put forth in their writing. This is particularly true when they know that after completing a writing project they get to paint a picture to go with it.

Due to your donations, my ESOL students are able to expand their writing skills and explore the fine arts.”

  • Let Us Learn And Create With STEM Materials

    Funded May 5, 2016

    Dear Donors,

Thank you for all of your generous donations. My students were so excited when the STEM materials and nonfiction sight word books arrived. They have used the fairy tale STEM kit to practice their reading, writing, critical thinking, speaking, and listening skills. The nonfiction sight word books have been a wonderful addition to my guided reading groups. My students are using these short books to review critical sight words and improve their vocabulary.

These hands on materials are helping my ESOL students to improve their language and critical thinking skills. Thank you again for making this possible through your donations.”

  • Bright Colors Will Help Us Learn to Read

    Funded May 4, 2016

Thank you for all of your generous donations. My students enjoy reading the new sight word books. The fact that they have vivid color photographs helps capture their attention and build their vocabulary. The color ink has been such a big help. I have printed out color examples of poems for a poetry unit, illustrated sight word phrases for students to practice reading, and vocabulary word banks.

Having these new books, and the ability to create high quality materials allow me to support the ever changing needs of my ESOL students. The color helps to keep their attention. This supply of ink will allow me to continue to create new materials into next year.

Thank you again for your support, you are helping to make a difference in my students education!”

  • Help Us Expand Our Language Skills

    Funded Mar 12, 2016

Thank you for all of your donations. My students have been so excited to get to use these hands on learning materials. They were so excited when I introduced these new resources.

We use the word building lapboards as a frequent part of my guided reading groups. It makes word work activities so much fun. They love playing with the games and puzzles. They are great ways for them to review phonics skills while having fun at the same time.

Thank you again for all of your support. My students will continue to benefit from these fun materials for many years to come.”

  • Reading Comprehension Task Cards Will Help Us Learn!

    Funded Dec 15, 2015

Thank you again for all of your donations. Because of your support my students have many more task cards to help them improve their reading comprehension.

Since these resources have arrived my students have enjoyed using the task cards individually and with partners. They use the cards after being introduced to a new reading comprehension skill and as review after finishing with other assignments.

It has been so helpful to me having these materials available to support my students in improving their reading comprehension skills.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tiemann

  • We Need Things that Stick and Cover

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

Thank you for all of your donations to this project. These materials are a big help in creating and storing hands on materials for my students.

My ESOL students are greatly benefiting from our new magnetic word wall. I am able to take off words and show them to students when they are trying to spelling them. They love that the wall is interactive. The sheet protectors are storing pages of illustrated dictionaries. Students use these to help them spell words, add details to their writing. The sheet protectors allow me to print pictures in color and have those pages last for the entire year.

Thank you again for your support of my classroom. These materials will continue to help me create a high quality learning environment for my ESOL students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tiemann
